Hello Candeo Members! 2 years ago my wife, Kjersten, and I moved to the Cedar Valley to be a part of Candeo Church, where I now serve as The Salt Company Director.

We are both graduates from Iowa State University and were greatly impacted through our time in Salt Company. We have one daughter, Elsie, who is 16 months old and brings us so much joy. Kjersten works from home as a data analyst. We love spending time outside, working on house projects, and watching football on Saturdays!

Candeo has been such a gift to Kjersten and I. We love the vision that Candeo has to help people find their greatest joy in Jesus, with a special heart for the campus! It would be a privilege to have the opportunity to serve this church as an Elder and to help carry out this vision. Teaching the Bible and shepherding God’s people are both things that I love and I believe God has called me to do. I am grateful for the opportunities that I have had to do both of these things through my time with Salt Company. Though I feel called to serve as an elder, I also understand that it is a weighty calling, requiring pace-setting character and servant leadership. By the grace of God, these are areas that the Lord has sanctified me in, and my prayer is that He would continue to do so. I am also incredibly thankful for the elders that God has already put in place, who exemplify these characteristics so well and who I know God would use to continue to sanctify me.
