Meghan & I have been married for 11 years.  We have four daughters - Mary Grace (8), Meredith (6), Caroline (3), Margaret (1 month).  I have a degree in mechanical engineering and currently work as a systems engineer at John Deere.  Meghan is currently a photographer and owner of Meghan Goering Photography.  We enjoy being active outdoors as a family - running, biking, playing golf, and many other activities. I also enjoy gardening and outdoor cooking.  

My family has been part of the Candeo family for nearly 5 years.  Meghan & I are finishing up our second year leading a connection group, and have also served in various Candeo Kids classrooms.  Because of the leadership, teaching & equipping opportunities at Candeo, we’ve grown in our knowledge and love for Jesus.  I hope to use the gifts & abilities that God has given me to help shepherd the Candeo family so it can continue to help the Cedar Valley know Jesus.  I’m humbled to be asked to serve on the elder team, and consider it a privilege to serve alongside the current elders.  

Hebrews 13 says that leaders are accountable to God for watching over the souls of the flock (their local church).  That is a weighty reality, so I am praying for wisdom (James 1:5) from God to lead well.
