My name is Dakota Jackson, I serve on staff here at Candeo as the Community Ministry Director.

My wonderful wife Hillary and I have been married for almost 7 years. We have two kids; Olivia, our 3 year old who is firmly in the threenage phase, and Jayce, our 1 year old who is the undisputed champion of the Salt and Light Classic baby race. As a couple/family we enjoy walks around our Waterloo neighborhood, movie nights, sporting events, and playing games together. Personally I enjoy all things competition, hunting, Bible conversations, and listening to a good podcast. 

I love God’s church and want to do all I can to faithfully serve and help others grow in their love of Jesus. I believe God has equipped me to serve the church through teaching, empowering leaders, and helping people/groups pursue unity in the midst of conflict. I’m excited at the prospect of eldership, but also know that it comes with a tremendous weight. One of the hesitations I have is finding the balance of serving my wife/family and the church. At the end of the day, I pray God would use me however he sees fit, to faithfully serve his kingdom to bring him glory.
